I have had this bike in my garage for years, and would love to restore it. Needless to sat, electronic parts are scarce and very expensive, so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for modifying modern components to work on the bike.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: 1972 Kawasaki H2
Sun, January 20, 2008 - 9:13 AMI had a 750 triple in the late 80's ... it was in excellent cond. (super cool blue, beautiful styling) but for some reason the previous owner had started a restoration, didn't need it ... he was a little wacky) and removed the wiring harness! Whoops! I figured I could buy the bike cheap and just buy a wiring harness from the dealer and I would be set... easy, right? I paid a lot for a new wiring harness and shop manual from the dealership ... but when I set out to do it, the color coding in the shop manual and wiring harness didn't mesh :( I tried but I couldn't figure it out ... the only place that would tackle it was in San Francisco ... about a hundred miles from my house. I got the bike back over a year later (great shop, lol) and it was so fast (not only would it come up in every gear ... just going through the gears at a normal rate down my residential street I would hit over 100 mph) and it it STILL wasn't running 100% correctly! missing a bit ... (something about the ignition/magneto ?needed a new one ... more money) I knew for sure that I would kill myself (drum in rear... single disc in front... braking was poor for a bike with 90 something hp) I sold it back to the guy I bought it from for the same price I paid for it
Good Luck! :) Beautiful and very fast bike .... be careful >>> no braking or handling ... and ... don't feel too bad... parts were expensive 20 years ago! -
