  • I suspect too that you may be on your own, but what awesome bikes you have!
I ride a 1980 Kawasaki KZ 650 F. And I love riding it! I will get some pictures soon to share.
Hey Toe's up, you should put those pictures of your bikes in your own picture album too. I love them!

I love my bikes...taking the BMW on states tour. Was delayed a day...leaving early tomorrow. Heading to Florida and back. Wooohooo!!! Have fun, see ya, M
    • The HRD and the French bike take a loooooong ride of their own tomorrow...
They are being crated ready for shipping to the US of A!

Excuse me while i panic a little....
  • 1975 Honda CB 360T. I am looking for something bigger though...but I don't want to give up the style of my current CB. Suggestions of some cool looking bikes???
    • A yamaha 1100 vstar classic , dirty and somewhat used i'm afraid, chrome is no longer shiny, damn thing gets wet in the rain when I ride it, go figure ! lol
      • Until recently, my bike was a '73 Aermacchi (European version), but I had to sell it before my last trip abroad. Now I'm down to a '65 Ducati Brio and an '80 Vespa. In the past, I've had a Guzzi V-50, an 850 Commando, R75/5, wide-case Ducati 350, Bultaco Metralla, Laverda Gemini, Husqvarna 250 and a couple dozen older Vespas and Lambrettas. Oh--and a Cushman Road King. My next bike project will be a V7-type Guzzi.
    • If you like the old standard Brit style bikes ( Of which the CB360T is) I strongly suggest checking out tTriumphs current line of vintage style Twins. They have a brand new Scrambler version of their Bonnieville that is a T140 style reproduction. That is BTW the bike that the CB360T was modeled on, so bigger cooler bike same cool looks and ergos.

I had one of those for my first street (legal) bike when i was 18. I had a lot of fun tearing around on the hilly windy 2lane roads up in Clifton and the Occoquan watershed area in northern Virginia on that one before it got ripped off.
      Cops called me a year after its demise when they found it's poor little stripped down frame in a creek. {sniff :-( }

When I was rolling through Eldorado Arkansas and stopped to visit a Gene at his Guzzi shop on the way to the MNOC Guzzi National Rally in VA June of 2000, I saw a '75 Honda CB360T that Gene had out of a barn somewhere in nearly perfect condition save for the rubber stuff.

Gene is a great guy by the way and I think he still has a load of Indian dirt bike parts up in that 2nd story rat hole he keeps for anyone that might need something.

    1967 Aermacchi Sprint H 250
one crazy single cylinder 4 stroke here, lots of fun when it's going but can be a pain to keep running.
Who am I kidding, that's what vintage is all about!

Hey Scott--great bike! Do you know about the Aermacchi Enthusiasts Group (on Yahoo!Groups)? How about Moto Italia in Petaluma? The two best resources for Aermacchi owners I know of.
      • Leslie down at Moto Italia has been a huge help to me, he has had everything I have needed so far. I have not seen the yahoo group but I will check it out. Thanks for the advice.
  • I love my 1978 CB550...my baby, but she needs constant loving. I just got an 1981 KZ1000 ltd and I hope she's ready to go by spring, but I'm probably gonna have to sell the CB to pay for the restoration... dang it...
  • 1978 Kawasaki KZ 1000 A2 W/ Kerker,Dyna,Mikunis,Unis,triple disc,fork brace,oil cooler,NOS seat,de-rear-fenderization,sawed off ugly assed rear footpeg mounts,Raask rear sets.I have finally built the bike I have always wanted,since I first saw Mad Max 20 years ago.
    • Well I got another Harley,
This one is a 1978 1000cc sportster. somewhat customed out, it has some chrome and a longer rake, all in al a pretty nice ride.
Is there anyone familiar with these bikes, I have some work to do to it and need a little direction. Thanks
      • the last AMF sportsters were among the most troubled bikes ever to roll off the line. (I was married to one, lasted through 3 rebuilds) If the engine's been torn down and blueprinted then you stand a chance of having a fairly nice ride.
        • I heard that was kind of a myth, but if you have had that much trouble, well personal experence speaks volumes. so far so good though, I have fixed the the leaky seals and it's up and running. and I know now why the Harley is such a sought after bike, the things a real kick in the pants to ride!
          • it's the '79 sportster that gave the last ones the bad rap... they tried to do too much with too little validation, and it fared so poorly that many pieces became one-year parts due to a complete re-design for '80...
  • 1973 Honda CB350F. It is my first and only bike, I've had it since 1983, and I LOVE it. Charlie's Place keeps it running great for me, and I hope someday to be able to have it restored.
  • who cares...nobody on this tribe rides anyway, or at least they don't ride in Los Angeles cause I've never met anyone off this dumb tribe...what a joke.
  • 1944 BSA M20 Ex-WD, 1953 Matchless G80CS, 1961 Matchless G12 Deluxe w/ sidehack, 1961 Matchless G12CSR, 1965 Triumph Bonneville (dirt), 1965 BSA Cyclone Competition (dirt), 1966 Norton N15CS. Kinda have a thing for the Matchless's I guess...no I'm not independently wealthy I just do all my own work and I can't seem to refuse an old British bike in need of love.
